From the desk of the Vice President of Seven City Brewers.
The May 11th Club Meeting is at Tapped Gastropub, from 7 PM to 9 PM on their outside porch. They are located at Hilltop East Shopping Center, 1550 Laskin Road #198, Virginia Beach VA. 23451.
We held our April 13th meeting at John & Stephanie Allen’s House. The weather was fine and the Allen’s have a nice pavilion where we held our meeting. I want to thank them and everyone who brought food and homebrew. For you all that were not able to make the meeting we had a good time. John lit off his brew rig and I presented a demonstration on the benefits of whirlpooling.
If you are interested in knowing about the benefits of whirlpooling and how it could improve your brew, go to the American Homebrewers Association website at www.homebrewersassociation.org and search on “whirlpooling”.
Beer Hunter: If you haven’t already you all need to thank Dan Tully and Greg White for going out and finding US some unique beers to try. At the meeting we sampled Supplication a 7.75% ABV sour brown ale from Russian River Brewing in Santa Rosa, California and Black Angel a 7.2% ABV dark sour ale from Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina.
