Mead is an ancient alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey, water, and yeast, often called "honey wine." It's one of the oldest fermented drinks, predating beer and wine, and comes in many varieties, from traditional (honey and water only) to flavored versions with fruits (melomel), spices (metheglin), or apples (cyser). Its sweetness, body, and alcohol content (ranging from 7% ABV and higher), and it can be still, sparkling, dry, or sweet.
